ANNFIELD PLAIN FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY North West Durham |
Society ProfileWe are a group of like minded people with an interest in Family & Local History, based in Annfield Plain but covering the history of the whole of North West Durham. The Society was formed in 2000 and have a small but thriving group. Over the years we purchased the local church records on microfilm and this year purchased 20 years of the Stanley News. In 2008 as part of the Annfield Plain Library centenary, the Society republished the series of books by the late Frederick J Wade, with the proceeds going to various charities.
